Sunflower Sunset Art Project

I found this beautiful project on Instagram from Primary Artists. You can see that original post here. While the sample project here in with paint, you can certainly use other materials for your project instead.

Time required: 45-60 min

Materials

• White paper (I use card stock)

• Pencil & eraser

• Sharpie

• Ruler (optional)

• Watercolour paint (or other medium of your choice)

Steps:

1. Start by sketching your scene with pencil. Draw three half circles along the bottom of the page.

2. Add petals to these circles (overlapping is fine).

3. Behind the sunflowers, add some rolling hills and a setting sun.

4. From the sun, add some straight lines for the sun rays.

5. Trace your work in Sharpie and erase and pencil lines.

6. Add details to your project, including patterns on the hills and sun rays.

7. Paint using sunset colours.
