Hi, I’m Marissa!

I’m currently a grade 3/4 French Immersion teacher from beautiful coastal British Columbia, Canada.

My experience includes FI K, 2, 3, 4 in BC and K-6 English Prep (Francophone school) in Québec.

I’m an old school teacher who values strong academics but who could also teach art and story workshop all day, everyday! I love creating fun and engaging solutions to help you teach.

This blog is a way to share my ideas, tips, tricks and resources with teachers looking to grow with me. I’m no expert but I’m happy to share what works for my class.

Where it started

I was one of the lucky ones who knew what I wanted to do, that made university a whole lot smoother. During my practicum I was teaching French Immersion kindergarten and quickly realized how few resources there were for French teachers. I started making my own so that they could be both in French and exactly what I needed. Years later, I now love creating, sharing my resources and supporting other teachers with ideas, and strategies.
